Description
This three-part course provides a practical, structured introduction to quantitative risk analysis for flood risk management projects using RMC-TotalRisk. Designed for professionals working with dams, levees, and complex water systems, the course provides a pathway for learning how to use RMC TotalRisk effectively, with clear demonstrations and hands on exercises that connect theory with practice. Across three sessions, participants will progress from foundational concepts and simple single failure analyses to more advanced applications. The course will introduce multiple failure modes and event tree construction, demonstrate how to combine system responses and consequence exposures, and culminate in system level applications involving multi hazard scenarios and uncertainty evaluation. Each stage builds progressively, ensuring participants gain both technical understanding and practical skills for interpreting and communicating risk results. By the end of this course, participants will be able to construct system level analyses, apply multi hazard approaches, and evaluate uncertainty in risk estimates. This course will strengthen your ability to deliver transparent, defensible assessments to quantify confidence in risk estimates and communicate results more effectively.
